I’ve loved reading and writing since I was in elementary school. When I was a kid I liked Lloyd Alexander, and then my father got me further hooked on the fantasy genre via Lord of the Rings and The Belgariad. I think I’ll always be a fan of the good old farm-boy-to-king trope.

That said, I mainly read fantasy. I’ve somewhat shockingly found myself liking romantasy as well. I typically steer clear of romance itself, but if it comes with a great plot in a fantasy world, sign me up.

Sci-fi – dystopian specifically – is another much-loved genre, especially if it’s well-researched.

Other than that, I will occasionally branch out to other genres. I don’t want to limit myself. But those will most likely be the bulk of my reads.
