AND SO IT BEGINS. I’ve long entertained the idea of opening a blog to rant and rave about all things bookish but never made the time to do it. In the past week, I’ve rushed to get things done and have the site launched on 11/11 because, I have a thing with dates, and I did NOT want to push this back another year.

One of my biggest roadblocks to starting a blog was coming up with a name. I wasn’t feeling particularly creative, but I knew I wanted to use alliteration. During the time I started to get more serious about starting a site, I was a little engrossed in Fourth Wing. At first I played around with just using “The Scribe Quadrant,” which I saw as being a collaborative review site. Still might do something with that. Who knows. But I focused more on the importance of the Archives, and, well. This just sounded cool. Obviously Aretia > Basgiath.

Anyway, since the name came from an in-the-moment obsession, I’m actually not entirely sure if it’ll stick, or if somewhere along the line, I’ll find something else that fits better. In either case, the only thing that matters is I finally got around to starting something.
